Michael Holifield O.D., P.A.

With a wealth of experience spanning from preventive eye health to specialized treatments like corneal reshaping, Dr. Holifield is dedicated to addressing all your eye care needs. His genuine care for his patients extends beyond the exam room, as he actively engages in his community, supporting local charities and youth sports initiatives.
At home in Plantation, Dr. Holifield and his wife, Kathleen, have raised their two children, Brandon and Juliana, alongside their lively household of three dogs, two cats, and a noisy parrot. In his free time, he enjoys hitting the golf course, snowboarding, and cherishing moments with his family.

Mallory Restaino – Optical/Lab Coordinator and Eyewear Sales Specialist
With a strong foundation in the optical industry since her teenage years, Mallory brings a wealth of experience to our team. Raised in Plantation, she learned the trade from her father, a seasoned Licensed Optician.
Mallory’s expertise isn’t just limited to optics; she also possesses a keen eye for style. Whether you’re seeking functional frames or a fashion-forward look, Mallory’s got the expertise to help. She’s committed to ensuring every client leaves our office with eyewear that not only meets their needs but also reflects their personal style.

Jesica Quesada – Eyewear Sales Specialist and Front Operations/Staffing Supervisor
Jesica joined our team in January 2024.
She quickly adapted from working in a large chain optical environment to thriving in our doctor-owned private practice. Jesica serves as an extension of the doctor, embracing our commitment to exceptional and personalized patient care. Her nurturing nature, beautiful smile, and compassion come naturally-traits she carries both as a professional and as a mother of two.
Originally from Argentina, Jesica’s native language is Spanish, which has been invaluable in serving our diverse community. Her favorite pastime is beach volleyball, and her boundless energy shows in her incredible ability to multitask and keep the office running seamlessly. As Staff Supervisor and Front Operations Supervisor, Jesica’s strong leadership, organizational skills, and eye for fine detail make her a natural in optical design, patient styling, and team coordination-ensuring that our staff and front office operate smoothly every day.

Sabrina Burd – Clinical Coordinator/ Optometric Technician and
Lead Scheduler

Sabrina Burd brings experience and a warm demeanor to our team as an Optometric Tech and Optical Assistant. With a solid foundation in customer service and sales, Sabrina’s journey began in sales and customer relations before transitioning into the optical field. It was here that she discovered her passion for the intricacies of optometry and the joy of interacting with patients.
In her role, Sabrina is entrusted with various crucial tasks, including pretesting, scheduling appointments, and aiding in insurance verification processes. Her attention to detail ensures that patients receive thorough and efficient care from the moment they step through our doors. Often the first point of contact for our patients, Sabrina greets them with her happy smile and offers assistance with checking in, setting a welcoming tone for your visit.
Sabrina’s dedication to providing exceptional service, coupled with her genuine enthusiasm for helping others, makes her an invaluable asset to our optical team. We are grateful to have her expertise and positive energy enhancing the patient experience at the front end of our practice.

Romina Jaime Kollmann – Medical Scribe
Romina joined Central Park Vision Center in June 2025 and serves as our virtual assistant and clinical scribe. She works alongside Dr. Holifield during exams to document visit details in real time, supporting accurate medical records and helping ensure each appointment feels personal and focused. Romina plays a key role behind the scenes, allowing the doctor to spend more time face-to-face with our patients and deliver the attentive, individualized care we are known for.
Romina is an Organizational Psychologist as well as a Medical Scribe with a background in Art. She blends creativity with precision, shaped by experience in education, organizational development, and healthcare.
She earned her degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), one of the country’s top universities, where she led projects in organizational development and communication before continuing her work in employee feedback and organizational growth at Lima Airport Partners. She later spent several years as a Medical Interpreter in U.S. healthcare and insurance settings, helping bridge communication between patients and providers with empathy, clarity, and cultural understanding.
At Central Park Vision, she works behind the scenes, documenting clinical encounters in real time to ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient records.
Fluent in English and a native Spanish speaker, she thrives at the intersection of science and humanity. Outside of work, she enjoys writing, drawing, and exploring how psychology and art intertwine in everyday life. A former competitive swimmer with the Peruvian Swimming Federation and ballet student for many years, she believes that discipline and rhythm – in movement or in thought – are what shapes both art and life.
Proudly from Peru – home to world-renowned cuisine, the warmth of its people, and the ancient wonder of Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World – Romina carries her roots with pride wherever she goes.

Colleen Ramer – Community Liaison
Colleen has been a valued member of our office since June 2018. Working with us part-time, she brings experience in business management and delivering exceptional customer service. Her skills have seamlessly integrated into our team, elevating the standard of care we provide to our patients.
Beyond her professional commitments, Colleen is deeply engaged in our community. She actively participates as a member of the Plantation community and the Chamber of Commerce, has collaborated closely with esteemed city council members during elections. Her dedication extends to volunteerism, with years of service to our local public schools and charity events. Colleen’s contributions are not only recognized but warmly appreciated, making her an invaluable asset to our practice.
In her leisure time, she cherishes moments with family and friends, indulges in cooking, finds solace in fishing, and continues to serve our community.

Melissa Hallman – Administrative Assistant / Practice Support
Melissa joined Central Park Vision Center in June of 2013. Melissa served as our office manager for nearly ten years before semi-retiring and relocating to Jacksonville to spend more time with family and traveling. She is instrumental in running all aspects of our office and in ensuring quality patient care.
We are lucky to have Melissa agree to continue to help out remotely and occasionally in-person part-time at our practice.
